This has been an interesting week. We closed on the loan at the bank on Wednesday and have all the funding in place. Also today it has been determined that the city is going to require a BZA hearing on the height of the building. The amount of variance that is required is only three feet one inch. We will be in a race to get all the papers filed with the city by next Friday to make the May 26th hearing. It seems very stupid to me to go through all this over three feet of a building height when we are next door to two 8 story high rises and all the property around us is us. The city requires $500 in filing fees and 12 copies of the plans just to name a few things on just this issue.
We had a meeting on Tuesday night for deacons that are interested in the campus expansion and Jeff Cox and myself were the only two that attended.
