This week was full of review and getting the information that the bidders need. The information was ready for them on 2/4/09 and the demand was great. As of today I had run 100 CD copies of the PDF documents for Pearce. The city of KCMO also received 6 sets of the documents to start their reviews. This next week 2/12/09 we will host a pre-bid meeting for site review and questions. The bids are due in on 2/25/09.
I have also been doing my review again of the drawings and specs. My list this time is much shorter than last time. Purchased a few barricades to get ready. Started working on a handout flyer for our people in March to show the parking lots and how the parking will look when the construction actual starts. It looks like we will be posting signs at each lot to get everyone ready for what is coming. Spent some time this week also with the company that will provide a trash compactor to work on details as to how it will fit into the dock area and any changes that are needed for the bidding documents. That information was forwared to the architects office for their review. This week I also contacted a local firm that handles golf carts to get pricing on rental and purchase options to help our handicapped people when the construction starts as the parking will not be near the building.
