Today we had a meeting with the city of Kansas City Missouri, Department of Land Development. Mr Jalal Saleh, Jeff Cox, Matt Schlicht(our civil engineer) and myself.
We learned today for the first time that the sidewalk was not an option but required. The picture above is of the area along 55th street. The city also requires it to be straight and we had on the plans bumpouts around power poles. The power poles as shown with the arrows would need to be moved if the sidewalk stayed in the same place. The city will allow us to move it inside the property as lone as we give an easement. Over all the meeting went well in that we did not need to move the utilities and the city and us both get a sidewalk that we need.
