Well this week we really got start. Monday they started cutting into the brick walls to open the area for the new doors. The maple tree on the South side was removed and hauled away for planting in a new location. The construction fence was delivered and put into place. Tuesday Kidwell Construction showed up on site and started removal of concrete and asphalt sections. Westhues disconnected the power to parking lot lights.
KCP&L was here for a few minutes to check out the site to start on Wednesday.
Wednesday, Kidwell started grading along 55th street for the sidewalk but had to stop on the East section when a gas line was found in the wrong place. Pearce had the parking lot stripped for driveway lanes. KCP&L was back and got about 50% done with the pole relocation. The silt fence was installed today alone 55th street.
Thursday, was a slower day as the civil engineer did not make it on site to deal with the gas line. KCP&L was back and got 75% complete on the pole relocation. The brick work on the door opening proceeded and finished the South opening.
Friday, the civil engineers showed up and marked the grade for the driveway and items on the South side for Kissick to start working the first of the week. They will take the information on the gas line and hopefully have information for Kidwell to work on the grading again on Monday. KCP&L is back today and should be done by the end of the day with the pole relocate.
